We really enjoyed our four tranquil nights at Gunalda Bush Camping near Gympie in south-east Queensland. What a top spot and so very relaxing! Our campsite was nestled amongst 68 acres of bushland – ‘Land for Wildlife’, with only a few other campers on the property.
There are a few firepits available for campers, however it’s a good idea to bring your own. Firewood is available and we took advantage of this to cook our Chicken Fajita mix in our cast iron pan over the flame. You’ll find the recipe for our Fajitas on the Files/Resources page of this website. The campsites were well-maintained and the owner of the property was very helpful and friendly. Bookings can be made by direct contact with the owner and you will find Gunalda Bush Camping on Facebook and WikiCamps. You can also book through Hipcamp if you prefer.
During our stay at Gunalda Bush Camping, we took a drive to the nearby heritage-listed Dickabram Bridge, which you can read about in a separate blog in the Points of Interest Category (to the right).
We have a video of our stay at Gunalda Bush Camping, which includes our visit to Dickabram Bridge and our Chicken Fajitas, so head over to our YouTube Channel if you would like to view this – https://youtu.be/SuZpk7iRpjY
